National Security and Law Society
Our purpose is to educate and foster an interest in understanding the legal aspects of national security by sponsoring speakers and programs concerning national security, to assist members in pursuits of their careers in the field of national security, and to contribute to the development of national security through community and philanthropic involvement.
NSLS is committed to bringing speakers and programs relating to national security to the school as well as supporting our community. We have already begun to plan for the 2011-2012 academic year, and we cannot wait to get started! In the past, NSLS has provided Thanksgiving dinner to veterans and raised money to adopt a kennel of military working dogs in Afghanistan. We plan to continue these philanthropic activities throughout the year. Further, we hope to expand upon the NSLS network in the national security community by bringing to campus professionals from the United States Intelligence, Military and Law Enforcement Communities as well as representatives from academic and policy-making organizations to speak on their experiences as well as potential careers in national security.
We offer a great opportunity to meet and connect with other law students interested in national security law and professionals already working in the field. So, if you are interested in intelligence activities, counter-terrorism, classified information, electronic intercepts, or related issues, then this is the group for you.
