Kathryn Hamilton is a Juris Doctor Candidate for 2011 at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center. She joined the Inter-American Center for Human Rights staff in May of 2009 as Legal Co-Director of the Human Rights Accountability Project. Kathryn is currently compiling international news editorials and scholarly commentary for the Americas Accountability Project. Kathryn is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law. She made the Dean’s List for Fall 2008 and accepted a position as a teaching assistant for Fall 2009.
Prior to becoming a student at NSU’s Law Center, Kathryn completed her undergraduate degree at Nova Southeastern University’s Farquhar College of Arts & Sciences with a concentration in Legal Studies. Kathryn was a Florida Medallion Scholar and was the recipient of the NSU Honor Award. In 2005, she served as the Elections Committee Chair for the Student Government Association. While completing her studies, Kathryn worked full-time as a pharmacy technician for NSU’s College of Pharmacy.
