Students Compete at National Appellate Advocacy Competition

Law Center students Rachel Bausch, Vanessa Seblano, and Kit Van Pelt advanced to the fourth round of the New York Regional of the American Bar Association (ABA) National Appellate Advocacy Competition (NAAC).  Thirty-nine schools competed and the NSU team defeated Seton Hall, Charlotte, and SUNY-Buffalo. Additionally, the NSU team was awarded a Best Brief Award for achieving the third highest brief score.

While Professors Baxter and Lamar coached the team, many professors helped prepare the team, including: Professors Blackwelder, Dale, Webber, Young, Jarvis, Masinter, Struffolino, Brown, Richmond, and Wisotsky.
