Tonja Haddad Coleman earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center. She is admitted to practice in Florida State Courts, the Southern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit, and the District of Columbia. She is the Immediate Past President and a Board Member of the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association, a Board Member of the Broward County Human Rights Board, the former chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee; Group 17H, a mentor for the Florida Bar, a participant in Teaching Justice, and a volunteer Voting Rights Attorney. Likewise, Ms. Coleman is actively involved in the community as a volunteer with the PACE Center for Girls, ateam coach for the Special Olympics, a team leader for the Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, the co-chair of the Annual “Up the River Cruise” silent auction for the American Cancer Society, and as a member of the Junior League, from whom she received the “Fundraising Phenomenon” award in 2008.
