Julie Elizabeth Hough graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. She received her law degree from Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2004. While in law school, Professor Hough served as the Executive Editor of the Nova Law Review and was the winner of the Feinreider Moot Court Competition and a general member of the Moot Court Honor Society. She handles a wide variety of matters in both bankruptcy and commercial litigation.

Professor Hough is licensed to practice in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She is a member of The Florida Bar and The Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida, Bankruptcy/UCC Committee of the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar, the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, the Broward Inn of Court, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and the Nova Southeastern University Alumni Association.
