Monique Patterson is a Juris Doctor Candidate at the Shepard Broad Law Center of Nova Southeastern University for the Class of 2012. She joined the Inter-American Center for Human Rights staff in October of 2010.
Monique completed her undergraduate studies at Florida International University majoring in Liberal Studies, with a minor in International Relations and French.
Prior to attending NSU’s Law Center, Monique lived and worked as a teacher in Madrid, Spain for four years and in Rio Cuarto, Argentina for six months, while studying International Business.
Upon relocating to Miami, she was employed as a paralegal at a law firm specializing in criminal defense for four years, and is currently working as a legal intern at a law firm focusing on various areas of law.
Monique is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of Business Law Students, and Toastmasters.
