THE REAL ESTATE LAW SOCIETY

MISSION STATEMENT:  To promote interest in the field of Real Estate Law at the Law Center and to facilitate connections between the Law Center and the Real Estate Legal community.

WHY START A REAL ESTATE LAW SOCIETY?

The Real Estate Industry is huge, ever growing, and of great significance to the legal community throughout the United States.  Attorneys play a crucial role at many levels of the Real Estate Industry.  As the population rises and property construction continues, the need for attorneys who specialize in Real Estate Law will continue to grow.  This is especially true in South Florida.  With this in mind, the need for a student organization with a specific interest in Real Estate Law at the Law Center is apparent.

HOW WILL THE REAL ESTATE LAW SOCIETY ACHIEVE ITS GOALS?

The Real Estate Law Society will provide a forum for students interested in Real Estate Law to listen to guest speakers—professionals from the Real Estate Legal Community who can provide insight into their field.  These engagements will enable students to increase their knowledge of the field and develop contacts that can lead to employment opportunities.  The Society will also stimulate greater interest in the field of real estate law among students.  It will also help strengthen The Law Center’s relationships with this important segment of the legal community.
