Congratulations and Greetings,
The Black Law Student Association would like to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning Law Students of Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center! We wish you all much success in your upcoming year. We look forward to meeting and working with each of you during the upcoming year.
The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) is a national organization created and designed to articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of Black law students; to foster and encourage professional competence; to focus upon the relationship of the Black attorney to the American legal system; to instill in the Black attorney and law student a greater awareness of and commitment to the needs of the Black community; to utilize their expertise to initiate a change within the legal system that will make it more responsive to the needs and concerns of the Black community; to do any and all things necessary and lawful for the accomplishment of these goals.
The Nova Southeastern University Chapter of BLSA has many exciting goals and plans for the upcoming school year. Our upcoming events include: A Welcoming Social, Academic Retreat, Regional Conference, Moot Court Competition, National Conference, Tri-BLSA Social, Discussion Panels, Legal Luncheons, and numerous other opportunities for students to participate.
Our goal is to provide the Nova Southeastern University community with an organization that promotes the educational, professional and social needs of all law students within the Nova Southeastern University community.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact either of our Board members.
