Saving E-mails to Personal Folders
In Outlook you have the opportunity to save your e-mails to a personal folder.
Why would you do this?
You do not have unlimited space. If you want to save lots of old e-mail and still be able to send e-mail, you will need to create and save old e-mails in personal folders.
Why could I send e-mail when I had hundreds of messages, and now that I only have a handful I can not?
This is a common question that we get weekly. The answer is in multiple parts. First it is not the number of messages that you have, but the total size of your messages. This means an
e-mail with a large attachment can take up a significant amount of your space. In fact, we have seen video attachments fill an account all by themselves. The second part is that all of your folders (including any folders that you have created) in the section titled “Mailbox - your name” count towards your space limit.

Now that I have personal folders how do I use them?

Are there any other differences between personal folders and the regular inbox?
Yes. Your regular inbox is located on the server, and your personal folders are located on your hard drive |
