Updating McAfee

Do your McAfee updates on a weekly basis. McAfee release their updates on Tuesday so Computer Services recommends that you check on Wednesday morning and make sure that your McAfee is updated. This will help prevent corruption of your files as well as ensuring that you don’t share or spread a virus to the Law Center and the University network. Mass viruses can paralyze the network, rendering it useless until each laptop is individually cleaned and updated. This is a lengthy and time consuming process that always comes at peak usage times such as exams or the beginning of classes. It adversely affects everyone in the community. Help us avoid this. Do your updates. Use your VirusScan to scan your files on a monthly basis and make sure that they remain uninfected. Clean or remove any infected files

Get in the habit of updating your McAfee weekly. At the same time, make sure that you back up your files.
