John B. Anderson joined the Law School Faculty as a Distinguished Visiting Professor and currently teaches Constitutional Decision Making, and the Law of the Electoral Process. He is Chair of the Center for Voting and Democracy, and writes extensively about needed reforms to the electoral process Prior to teaching to teaching at Nova and other universities, including Brandeis, Stanford and Bryn Mawr, Mr. Anderson was a Representative to the U.S. Congress from Illinois from 1961 – 1981. He served on the House Rules Committee and was Chairman of the House Republican Conference. In 1980, Mr. Anderson ran as an Independent candidate for President and received more than 6 million votes. He said no to a :Draft Anderson for President movement in 2000. Mr. Anderson earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana- Champaign and received an LL.M degree from Harvard Law School. He was also President of the World Federalist Associaton, currently known as Citizens for Global Solutions.
