Adjunct Professor Kanoff is currently a Senior Associate Appellate Attorney and Head of the Appellate/Litigation Support Division at McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya, P.A. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She practices appellate law, insurance coverage law, and provides litigation as well as appellate support on a variety of civil cases including medical malpractice, premises liability, maritime, and professional liability cases. She regularly prepares appellate briefs, petitions, motions, jury instructions, and verdict forms. She also attends trials in order to assist attorneys with preserving the error for appeal and presents oral argument at state and federal appellate courts.
Prior to joining McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya, Adjunct Professor Kanoff held several attorney-level positions at the Third District Court of Appeal, in Miami, Florida, for the Honorable Judge David M. Gersten. During law school, she also interned at the Third District Court of Appeal and at the Florida Supreme Court in Tallahassee, Florida.
Adjunct Professor Kanoff has served as an Adjunct Law Professor at Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida since the school moved to Florida from Michigan. She also previously served as an Adjunct Faculty/Coach of the Trial Team and a Substitute Professor for various classes at St. Thomas University School of Law, in Miami Lakes, Florida.
