Adjunct Professor Traverso is the Managing Partner with Eraclides, Gelman, Hall, Indek, Johannessen & Goodman in Aventura, Florida and concentrates her practice in the defense of workers’ compensation and labor and employment matters. Previously, Adjunct Professor Traverso was the Assistant State Attorney with the Office of the State Attorney in Fort Myers, Florida.
Adjunct Professor Traverso is a member of The Florida Bar, and the Broward, Dade and Monroe County Bar Associations. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Adjunct Professor Traverso serves on the Executive Council of the Worker’s Compensation Section of The Florida Bar, and is past Chair of the Section for 2012-2013, and she was previously the Vice-Chair of the Worker’s Compensation Rules Committee.
Adjunct Professor Traverso has lectured for numerous organizations on topics including ethics and the administration and defense of Worker’s Compensation claims. She is certified by the State of Florida to teach law-related audit education classes, and certified by The Florida Department of Insurance as an instructor in Florida Worker’s Compensation.
Adjunct Professor Traverso is certified as a Florida Supreme Court Circuit/County and Family Mediator. She is a Trustee with the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, and is the Secretary of the South Florida Chapter.
