Adjunct Professor Cohen practices as an intellectual property, healthcare and business law attorney at the Law Offices of Tracey L. Cohen, P.A.  Prior to starting her own law practice, Adjunct Professor Cohen spent eight years practicing at well-known Florida law firms.  She has represented and counseled individuals, small businesses and large institutional clients throughout her legal career.  Her intellectual property practice has included, but has not been limited to, handling the intellectual property portfolios of a large private university, a Florida healthcare system, a national luxury fashion brand, a national advertising agency and a large electronics manufacturer, among others. She has also has assisted in representing a well-known designer of high-end handbags and accessories in intellectual property litigation as part of the company's nationally instituted anti-piracy and counterfeiting program.  Within the area of healthcare law, Adjunct Professor Cohen has represented two separate national healthcare systems and their numerous subsidiary hospitals, as well as a Florida-based healthcare system.  She also has handled numerous litigation and transactional matters on behalf of various business owners and corporations. 

While at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Adjunct Professor Cohen served on the Senior Editorial Staff and the Articles Editing Committee of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, was the recipient of a Book Award in Legal Research and Writing, and served as a teaching fellow for Legal Research and Writing, Appellate Advocacy and Trial Practice. She graduated cum laude from both the Levin College of Law, and from Brandeis University, where she received her B.A. in Philosophy.

Adjunct Professor Cohen is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York and the District of Columbia, and is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Civil Mediator. She has also been named a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation by Law and Politics Magazine. A division of Super Lawyers, less than 2.5% of all lawyers in Florida under the age of 40 are recognized as Rising Stars.
