Adjunct Professor Kugler is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, conducting private mediations in the areas of Worker’s Compensation, Personal Injury and Residential Mortgage Foreclosure. Additionally, he currently serves as a traffic court Magistrate for the 17th Judicial Circuit. He formerly served as an Arbitrator with the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Legal Affairs, conducting arbitration hearings. Previously, Adjunct Professor Kugler was a General Master for the Division of Administrative Hearings for Worker’s Compensation claims.
Early in his career, he was an Attorney providing representation of injured parties in Personal Injury, Worker’s Compensation and Social Security Disability cases; Assistant State Attorney in the Major Crimes Division responsible for the prosecution of complex felonies including first degree homocide and multi-jurisdictional wiretap cases.
Adjunct Professor Kugler maintains professional memberships with The Florida Bar Association, The Broward County Bar Association and Florida Academy of Professional Mediators. In addition, he has obtained many certifications, such as Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, Florida Supreme Court Certified County Court Mediator, Certification in Civil Traffic law and Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator.
