Denise L. Baker is an attorney and founder of Denise L. Baker, P.A..

Attorney Baker has developed extensive experience on a wide range of issues and she has appeared at hundreds of hearings on behalf of clients concerning matters involving:

Pre trial, mediation, trial practice, post judgment, and the appellate process when needed.

As an attorney, an extension of her practice also includes representing educators facing pending investigations and cases involving the grievance process. 

Ms. Baker has developed personal and professional experience as an international educator, advocate, adjunct professor and lecturer in the field of education law.

She is an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the Masters in Education Law Program (M.S.Ed.L.)

Professor Baker served on the curriculum development and review committee for the M.S.Ed.L. program at Nova.

She developed and currently teaches the Private Education Law course offered in M.S.Ed. L., and has supervised over thirty (30) students in connection with the Individual Research Project (IRP) graduation requirement. 

In this capacity, she also provides instruction and commentary on issues governing:

Tort liability, premises liability, school safety (negligent security including campus shootings), constitutional matters (free exercise, establishment, second and fourth amendment search and seizure), contract, corporate governance,

federal anti discrimination statutes as applied in the private education K through post secondary education setting.  

Attorney Baker, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Exceptional Student Education (VE) from Nova Southeastern University in 1995.

Thereafter, she earned her Juris Doctor degree also from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida 2004.   

During law school, Ms. Baker attended University College London Faculty of Laws UK/University of Miami, Summer Abroad International Human Rights and Public International Law, Program. 

Shortly prior to attending law school, Attorney Baker worked in the City London school district as an educator teaching a variety of children from the most affluent to the inner City’s refugees.
