Steven earned his doctorate in conflict analysis and resolution at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), holds a Masters of Science in counseling psychology from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelors of Science in child psychology and family sociology from Cornell University. He is employed by the state of Florida as the coordinator of Mediation Services at the Broward County Courthouse in the Court Mediation and Arbitration Program. He is a certified family and dependency mediator and an assistant trainer of mediation for the state of Florida’s Supreme Court certification process. Dr. Leigh teaches two online ADR classes for the Shepard Broad Law Center at NSU
Dr. Leigh is well-versed in the practice and concept of alternative dispute resolution which includes the practice/art of mediation. He has presented the concepts, principles, and practice of mediation to various groups, including the Florida Center for Dispute Resolution’s annual conference, NSU law classes, and to new mediators.
Steve is a native New Yorker who moved to Florida at the end of 1984. He is married, a father, enjoys reading, travel, and motorcycling.
