Law Alumni Association Wins Gold at the 2006 NSU Alumni Association Achievement Awards
In order to recognize excellence among NSU alumni chapters worldwide, the NSU Alumni Association initiated the Chapter Achievement Program and plans to annually host a President’s Retreat with awards ceremony to recognize achievement and excellence among university-wide chapters. During their inaugural retreat, held during
homecoming in January, NSU recognized the Law Alumni Association for being the oldest alumni chapter, for engaging law alumni, and for hosting regular events that showcase our alumni judiciary members and very successful lawyers. Beverly Vesel ‘79, president, proudly accepted the gold award, one of the highest honors, for her leadership.



Law Alumni Chapter of Palm Beach County Wins the Outstanding Community Relations Chapter Award
The Palm Beach County Alumni Chapter, created in 2004 with Eunice Baros as the founding president, won the Outstanding Community Relations Award. The award is given to the chapter who excels in promoting NSU. The Palm Beach County Chapter members organized a book drive for the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition
and donated 240 books collected at their 2006 Annual Holiday Party. Through their efforts, the NSU Law Alumni Chapter of Palm Beach County gained recognition and respect as a leading organization in their community.


Law Alumna Eunice Baros ’80 is awarded the Super Shark Alumni Chapter Leader Award
Each chapter of NSU was asked to nominate one person who goes above and beyond for their alumni chapter and for NSU. Seven chapter leaders were nominated, but the judges chose one person who really stood out as the overall Super Shark – Eunice Baros ‘80. She consistently raised sponsorship money, planned amazing events, recruited new members, and promoted
NSU in numerous ways. Congratulations to Eunice as the first NSU Super Shark Award
